Advantech’s EPC-U3233 delivers a 50% increase in performance when compared to previous generation CPUs. EPC-U3233 supports multiple I/O — including 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 x 1 (10Gbps), 2 x USB 2.0, 4 x COM, 2 x HDMI, 2 x LAN, and 2 x GPIO ports — for diverse industrial applications. USB 3.2 Gen 2 provides twice the data transfer rates of USB Gen 1, and optimizes computing performance and data transmission. Moreover, the computer’s compact (185 x 120 x 65 mm/7.28 x 4.72 x 2.55 in) fanless form factor accommodates energy/space conscious industrial applications.

Protection Ensures Reliable Operation
Advantech’s EPC-U3233 is EMC industrial environment (IEC 61000-6-2, 6-4), and residential environment (IEC 61000-6-1, 6-3) certified, and provides ESD level 4 (Contact 8kV, air 15kV) protection. These standards guarantee resistance against electrostatic shock when used in sensitive industrial environments. In addition, EPC-U3233 supports 12 ~ 24 VDC power input and is ideal for factory automation applications.

Advantech’s EPC-U3233 features 3 x M.2 expansion slots (1 x 2280 M-key for NVMe high speed storage, 1 x 2242/3042 B-key for LTE modules, 1 x 2230 E-key for Wi-Fi/BT or Movidius modules) that enable AI at the edge, support diverse wireless connectivity for data transmission, and accommodate high data rates in demanding data-intensive applications. AI-accelerated and Device Management Software Empowers AIoT
EPC-U3233 uses Advantech’s Edge AI Suite (based on OpenVINO toolkit) to facilitate comprehensive AI evaluation with pre-trained models. It can also function as an AI platform following a 1-click, 3-minute installation.
Advantech’s EPC-U3233 leverages pre-installed WISE-DeviceOn remote monitoring software to enable preemptive maintenance and security. The OTA BIOS system eases updates and provides a backup recovery mechanism that reduces servicing requirements. The embedded USB controls can discontinue power from the device to address common glitches. Likewise, the COM ports support RS-232/422/485 mode via BIOS configuration, which is KVM accessible through Intel vPro®.
